Module 4 assessment for parents

Gestural and Nonverbal Communication Strategies

We are sharing the parent assessment for Module 4, developed by Urdaneta School, Spain, as part of Result 1 of the EduZone Erasmus+ project. This questionnaire helps parents review ways to support communication through gestures, body language and familiar visual supports during everyday family routines.

The questions explore recognising a child’s gestures, modelling simple language, respecting personal space, allowing time to respond and encouraging turn-taking. Examples relate to familiar situations such as snack time, dressing and play. The assessment includes seven multiple-choice questions, two true-or-false questions and a short practical response in which parents plan support for a chosen routine.

The aim is to help families put the module’s strategies into practice with greater confidence. It assesses adults’ understanding of the learning material, rather than the child’s communication abilities.
